Altrusa of Mid-Columbia, Washington

ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF MID-COLUMBIA
The Mid-Columbia club is based in southeastern Washington and supports the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. Our club strives to make a real difference in our community. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising, and international projects each year.
Some of our rewarding projects this year include:
- Supporting a food drive to provide kids with a box of non-perishable items to keep them fed over winter break.
- Creating centerpieces each quarter for the Tri-Cities Union Gospel Mission dining rooms.
- Providing new books monthly to two elementary school classrooms
- Filling new backpacks with all the necessary supplies for a successful school year.
- Donating time one Saturday a month to open Threads of Haven, a free store for foster families to shop for new clothes and other essential items.
Altrusa is an international non-profit organization focused on making our local community better through service.
We are a fun group of volunteers who want to make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun, and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.
