WELCOME TO ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF PENDLETON, INC.

 

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.

Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in Pendleton, Oregon. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.

We are always seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.

Our Spring-Summer issue highlights the activities and fun at the Altrusa District Twelve conference in Blaine, Washington in May, installment of Altrusa International of Pendleton's new board for 2026-2027, and are committee reports, including Literacy, Feed the Child, International, A.S.K. (Altrusans Serving Kids), K.A.R.E. (Kids at Risk Empowered), and Stillman Dinner.
 
The publication also features a report from ASTRA (meet next school year's leadership team), an membership update, new member bios, a spotlight on the recent Scholarship process and recipients for the upcoming year, as well as the recent effort to fill meal boxes for seniors in our community. 
 
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, lend a hand, and live out Altrusa’s commitment to leadership, partnership, and service. Together, we are making a lasting impact.

At the end of May 2026, Altrusa International of Pendleton jumped in to help CAPECO fill a need for senior citizens in our community. In assembly line style, volunteers filled 360 meal boxes containing canned and fresh fruit, vegetables, protein, milk, and dried goods. Thank you to
Kris Mulvihill for organizing and coming to the aid of our community, along with 13 other
Altrusans and two Rotarians -- the meal boxes were completed in 53 hours!
