Altrusa of Hermiston, Oregon
Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.
Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in Hermiston and smaller neighboring towns of Echo, Stanfield, Irrigon, and Umatilla. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.
We are always seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.
Altrusa International of Hermiston members donated toys today for the Hermiston Police Department's Christmas Express. Now in its 56th year, Christmas Express provides food and toys for families needing assistance in Hermiston. Hermiston Altrusans once again stepped up to help.
During a recent meeting, Altrusans held a held a baby shower supporting
Hermiston’s Doulas Latinas and presented them with a large collection of baby items for its clients.
More bags, stat!
Hermiston Altrusans Ann Fialka, Robin Surber and Patty Nance were among those who gathered after a recent meeting to prepare kits for young children visiting Good Shepherd Hospital’s emergency room. Each kit contains toys, snacks, a book, and more all in a clear gallon-size bag. The ER staff lets the club know when inventory is running low so Altrusans can spring into action and create more.

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ENERGETIC, SERVICE-MINDED PEOPLE TO JOIN ALTRUSA.
Contact our Club President to arrange a no-obligation visit.
