ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF ROSEBURG, INC.

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.

Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in Douglas County. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.

We are seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.

Dinner in the Vines on August 31st was a HUGE SUCCESS

Altrusa members and their guest enjoyed our 2024 Dinner in the Vines held at Melroses Vineyards.

THANK YOU to guests, our sponsors, and members of Altrusa, who worked very hard to make this event a GIANT SUCCESS!

This unique farm-to-table inspired meal featured locally grown products in a beautiful vineyard setting

Guests enjoyed a four course meal, music by Liz Jones of Vine Cats and a Silent Auction. The evening started very warm but soon shade and cooler temperatures created the perfect evening for the 112 guests who attended.

The event proceeds support local children's literacy projects and our College Scholarship programs.

Service Projects

This event is held annually at Sherm's Market. This year received over 900 books.

Stuff the Bus with new and gently used Children's Books

Dream Night Book walk for handicap children at Wildlife Safari held in August each year.

ASTRA Club Members

Members from Roseburg High School ASTRA Club which is the service club for high school students that is sponsored by our Altrusa club.

ASTRA stands for Ability, Service, Training, Responsibility and Achievement. Students are mentored by Altrusa Club members Cindy Towers, Nicole Jaki and Cynthia Mounts.
